About Leah Weinberg
Leah Weinberg is the founder and principal designer of Leah Weinberg Design, a full-service residential interior design firm based in Westchester County, New York. She works with families across Westchester and Connecticut who want homes that feel personal, layered, and fully tailored to the way they actually live.
As a residential interior designer, Leah leads every project from initial concept through final installation. That includes home renovations, kitchen and bathroom design, custom furnishings, and close coordination with contractors, vendors, and trades throughout the process. Whether a project involves a full gut renovation or furnishing a single room, the goal is always the same: a home that feels cohesive and grounded in real life, not a showcase that looks good but doesn't work for the people in it.
Every project begins with understanding how a family uses their space, what matters most to them, and what they want their home to feel like at the end of a long day. That understanding drives every design decision, from floor plans and finishes to the furniture and accessories that bring a room together.
From Fashion to Interior Design
Leah's path to residential interior design started in fashion. She studied Fiber Science and Apparel Design at Cornell University and spent 12 years designing handbags for major fashion brands in New York City. That experience gave her a deep understanding of materials, construction, proportion, and the details that separate something well made from something ordinary. It also shaped the way she approaches interiors: with attention to quality, an appreciation for how textures and finishes work together, and a belief that great design should feel intentional without being precious.
She later earned a Continuing Education Certificate in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, bringing together her background in fashion and materials with formal training in residential and commercial space planning.
